The Contract
Residents enter into a contract agreeing not to drink or use while living & participating in the program at Divine Steps. Relapse, acts of violence, sexual misconduct and immoral behavior are reasons for immediate termination.  Random drug and alcohol tests are administered.  All residents are expected to be employed or seeking employment and maintaining a lifestyle that is conducive to recovery.

Recovery Dynamics
Recovery Dynamics is an educational tract that focuses on the 12-step program of recovery as it is outlined in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.  This tract is staffed by professionals and volunteers in the field of alcoholism and drug addiction.

Relapse Prevention
Each client helps develop their individual plan, which helps to identify triggers that could lead them back to abusing drugs and alcohol. This may be increased depending on individual need. The client is required to attend 5 NA/AA meetings per week in addition to developing a relationship with a sponsor, finding a home group and becoming involved in the fellowships social support network.

Recovery Life Skills
In this program, our clients take part in discussions and group activities focused on addressing living skills. These skills may include refusal skills, decision making, self-care, money management, values clarification and personal responsibility, identifying life purpose, and interviewing skills. The goal in this program is for our clients to master these skills and techniques in order to gain and maintain a better quality of life through more effective choices.
